WinDV - simple video capture program

I want to talk about one simple video capture program for Windows. This is WinDV. The program is not new, but little known. Designed to capture from video cameras and write back AVI files via the FireWire interface (IEEE 1394). Time stamps on video are used to automatically separate different video snippets.

Main characteristics:

* Miniature size (98 Kb)
* Two-way exchange (video capture and camera recording)
* No missing frames (memory buffering)
* Automatic separation of video sequences into files (each plot is recorded in a separate file)
* Easy connection of AVI files (when recording to the camera, scenes are connected automatically)
* Preview of the transmitted video
