How much bring Top Free applications on the App Store

Just in addition to my previous post, I was struck by the most interesting statistics on Top Grossing Apps and oddly enough, but such interesting numbers have not yet been on Habré.

According to the statistical service provided by Distimo, we can find out how much the games in the tops of the App Store earn:



ARPD - average revenue per download. Average earnings from one loading of the application.

Impressive numbers I will tell you. If, for example, a game brings in an average of $ 3 per load, you can safely buy $ 1.5 units and collect profits. What Clash of Clans, Hay Day and Candy Crush Saga are doing in principle.

But the graph shows the growth in profits brought by in-game purchases:



If in January 2012, In-app purchases (IAP) accounted for 53%, in February 2013 this figure was already 76%

In the following graph, we can see that paid applications with IAP earn the most, followed by paid applications without IAP and at the end free applications with IAP:



Here we see that the Japanese bring the most money for one download.
But Germany, the United States and Britain are almost three times behind:
