A long time ago, in the search results on Google Search, there was a menu on the left, where with one click you could adjust the search parameters, for example, a time limit (I used this feature often). But when redesigned - for some reason this began to require 3 clicks:



Hope that Google does not have to come to its senses - it remains to take matters into their own hands. While userscripts.org is buggy, the script can be downloaded here , click on the Raw button.

Firefox - set using Scriptish / GreaseMonkey (addons for scripts);
Chrome - directly, without extensions (the script as a file is dragged to the chrome page: // extensions /);
Opera - a user script is created in the file, placed in a folder ... ( instruction );
Safari - set using NinjaKit (not tested, but nothing special in the script is not).

Result

Button PDF - restricts the search only for PDF files (if the source of information is different government agencies, research results, etc.).
