1. Famous folk thing. The names are different:
foal , skolok and others (not specifically recorded, but now I do not remember).
Used for identification. A wand was taken, random nicks were carved on it, then the wand was cracked along. In order for the owners of the two parts to recognize each other, it was enough to fold the wand: when the parts coincided, the identification was considered valid. Forge is impossible, as you know.
Instead of sticks could be used coins and other items. Spy equipment, in short: you could see this in movies.
Specifically, this foal for peaceful purposes, was used in the delivery of sheepskin. One of the parts was tied to the sheepskin handed over to the manufacture, so that at the end of the treatment the peasant could identify his sheepskin. Of course, the master of dressing hides could freely tie the sticks on sheepskins, but wasn’t it so - better that way than in any way?

2. Just an
eraser . And below, as I understand it, a brush to sweep crumbs.
I have heaps of these erasers, there are round ones, but with only one brush.
3. Clip for papers. An unusual form in the shape of a hand - the hand is confusing.
Here are clips of more understandable forms:

And this is the desktop version:
4. It is difficult to guess, especially since the photo is bad. Almost an adding machine, only without a keyboard.
This is a
convertible stitcher .
Full mechanization of work with envelopes. In the first test for intelligence, devices for wetting envelopes were cited, and these machines, as far as I understood, glued wetted envelopes by pressing.
Here are other similar devices.
“Velopost” :
Ado convertible :

Unknown brand converters (model F, as can be read on the side of the device):

Once these machines were produced massively. Nobody knows, are similar being used now?
5. This machine is the functional opposite of converters.
Envelope opener . See the sheets on the right? Envelopes for automatic opening. By the way, this is an envelope opener of the “Lightning” mark.

Other similar devices.
“Tom” envelope opener:
Orgstroy Envelope
Breaker :
"Bircher" envelope opener :

I wondered why weren't using scissors. Are there any institutions in which the opening of letters put on such a wide foot that you have to automate?
6. And this is an automatic
pencil sharpener .
Here are the other sharpeners that were found:

Right - almost modern version, I enjoyed a similar sharpener.
7. Mysterious thing, huh?
Just an
inkwell , again of unusual shape and double.
I have other ink pots, too, not without fads.
Starting from simpler:

Finishing to more difficult:
8. The photo is bad. But if you say that it is very similar to a sewing machine, you can hardly go wrong.
This is an office
stapler . Apparently, powerful: more often used manual staplers - such, for example:

9. The most mysterious is so much so that it does not even have a Russian name. English name, which is not easily considered on the image:
Measuregraph .
Measuregraph was used in haberdashery stores to measure tissue being released. The fabric was inserted into the slot and stretched through the machine, the dial showed the length.
The original source said that the seller, setting the price per unit length, could see not only the length of the cut, but also the cost of the goods sold. I do not know. The watch dial is not convenient for displaying the cost, in my opinion. And the second dial is clearly the same, only turned in the opposite direction - for the buyer, apparently. Probably, the sum counter was located between them, but it is not clearly seen in the figure.
