Behold, people. It is finished. The programming language D — another attempt to make a normal object-oriented language out of your beloved C — has finally ceased to be a private initiative of its author, Walter Bright, and Digital Mars. Now GNU also offers its own implementation. The work begun by GNU last year finally led to the creation of a compiler that is able to pass all tests at The Computer Language Benchmarks Game.
D is, if you can put it that way, a combed version of C ++ that inherits a lot from Java and Eiffel, but remains fully compiled into native code and well optimized language. Performance and efficiency can be judged by tests of The Computer Language Benchmarks Game. And while it looks pretty nice, examples of programs can be found in an article on wikipedia - D (programming language).
Very bad, considering that coding in D is simpler and more pleasant than in C ++, and the potential for optimization is most likely not exhausted. See what the GNU guys do with this language. ')
Here it is. Happy coding.
