What is it and what does it eat
The free
clipboard.com service was designed to store clips. At the touch of a button, the user was asked to save any content: from interesting articles and scientific works to images, links, texts and even web pages. All clips are carefully saved as a gallery in your account on the site. In addition, the service allowed uploading photos and pictures from a computer, creating online photo albums. A great feature and rarity was that the service was completely free.

Success and gratitude
In almost 2 years of work,
140,000 people created about 3 million clips and over a million people used them . Service became the winner and winner of the "
Readers '
Choice 2013 " award held on
about.com (
where, among other things, Evernote participated ). Such companies as Apple, Google and Microsoft used it in various marketing companies, for which the authors thank for their support and choice. They also thank everyone who took part in the service, including a group of developers, users, the press, bloggers and all those who invaluably contributed to the development of the service. The Clipboard team assures everyone that it will continue its mission of organizing online notes, only as a part of
salesforce.com (
which most likely will affect a paid subscription ). Clipboard's CEO, Gary Flake, will be vice president of development at
salesforce.com , followed by a core team of developers and designers.
It should be noted that not so long ago (
in February and March ) a number of serious updates were released aimed at improving the service. The interface has been redesigned, the logic of the application, the ability to download images from the computer and sorting by boards has been added.
Users have already asked many questions regarding the closure of the service. Answers to the most common can be found in a special section
FAQIn the photo below - the development team on the eve of the publication of the sad news.
