
elementary OS is a Ubuntu-based distribution based on the minimalist concept of interfaces. The goal of the project is to provide the simplest and most convenient environment. In practice, this means that there are a lot of tweaks that you can do immediately after installing Ubuntu here.

It has been a long five months since the release of the first beta elementary OS Luna and we have worked hard to make the next beta version for you. Elementary received a lot of positive feedback from happy users around the world. In addition, we received testers reviews and their bug reports. We are pleased to announce that we are ready to release our second beta version with more than 300 fixes! -

Translations. After the release of the first beta, we were pleasantly surprised to see a huge team of translators emerging from nowhere! We work with them to bring the best translation and support for all our applications.
Multi-monitor support. While most of the default installations are used with a single display, we have many experienced users who use multiple displays. We are working to make multi-monitor support even better in Luna. In particular, we solved a number of errors with Plank and Wingpanel.
Visual improvements.
User interface designers have worked especially hard on the final touches in Luna. There is a separate, big
post about this.
Updated applications.
Latest Shotwell 0.14.1 for viewing and working with photos.

Midori web browser has been updated to version 0.5, to
learn more about the update.

The music player is not only updated to version 0.2 but also renamed to Music.
