DevCon 2013 conference. On behalf of the organizers, I am pleased to present you the program of the two days of the conference, which included reports in six parallel tracks, six exclusive workshops and an evening program with round tables and the Night of Coding hackathon.

')
Below I will talk about some details of the program DevCon 2013.
Main program
The main program of the conference includes a plenary report, keynotes and mini-sessions of both days. In total, conference participants and online viewers will be able to choose from
67 very different presentations .
Note! The entire main conference program will be recorded and broadcast online in real time! If you are not lucky and you can not take part in DevCon 2013 in person, then visit the official website http://msdevcon.ru on May 29 and 30 to view the sessions online.
This year we have decided to make the conference program and reports more in-depth. Therefore, more than a third (closer to half) of DevCon 2013 reports will be
level 300 or higher.
The first day of DevCon 2013The conference will be opened by a two-hour
plenary report , within which, according to tradition, a general overview of all company news for developers over the last year since the last conference will be given. Participate in the plenary report will be:
Jonas Persson ,
Jason Zander and
Alexander Lozhechkin , as well as other colleagues from Microsoft.
Note! On the first day of the conference, there will be a question and answer session with Jason Zander , corporate vice president of Microsoft, who previously led the entire development of Visual Studio tools, and today is responsible for the entire Windows Azure platform. For DevCon 2013 participants, meeting with Jason Zander is a unique opportunity to meet with the highest level Microsoft director and ask him all the questions.
On the first day, along with the plenary report, participants and online conference viewers will be able to attend 25 sessions on all software development topics: client and mobile application development, web and cloud application development and development, effective development tools and building a development process using ALM, corporate application development.
The second day of DevCon 2013The main program of the second day of the conference will open with 30 minute interesting mini-reports. You can learn about many interesting things about software development tools from our partners and guest speakers.
The entire second day will be filled with technical reports. During 30 hour presentations, conference participants and live viewers will be able to learn a lot of interesting things about the most modern software development approaches and the latest tools.
Note! One of the sessions, labeled NDA (What is Hekaton ...) , due to exclusivity and secrecy will not be broadcast online and recorded, and its participants will have to sign a non-disclosure agreement on the spot.
The final of the conference will be the official closing ceremony, during which the results will be summed up, the winners of the competitions will be announced and memorable gifts will be given out.
Additional program
Probably the most “tasty” part of the DevCon 2013 conference is its additional program exclusive for the participants who arrived at the venue in person. Reports and workshops of the program
will not be recorded or broadcast online and can only be visited in person.
The first day of DevCon 2013On the first day of the conference, parallel to the main program, three simultaneous master classes will be held:
- Master class by Gaidar Magdanurov "From Idea to Success"
- School of Functional Programming with Dmitry Soshnikov, Roman Dushkin and Andrey Laptev
- Intensive training on software testing from Dmitry Andreev
In the evening of the first day, the participants will have an entertaining evening program with a surprise, which we secretly prepare and round tables of the additional program:
Interesting participants are expected at round tables, for example, Ilya Ryzhenkov, the head of .NET development at JetBrains.
Another great activity of the DevCon 2013 conference will be
Hackaton “Coding Night” , where conference participants will be able to apply the knowledge gained during the day into practice, coming together for coding. The hackathon will be divided into two parts: practical for writing code and theoretical with lectures. In addition, as part of the hackathon will be laboratory work
Windows Store App Lab . Hackathon will last from nine in the evening to three in the morning.
The second day of DevCon 2013The following workshops will be held on the second day of the conference as part of the additional program:
The second day will end with the closing ceremony of the conference.
Competition “Achievement Hunters”
As we mentioned earlier, the
contest “Hunters for achievements” will be
held at the DevCon 2013 conference. Conference participants will be able to receive achievements (achievements) for various actions at the conference site, including visits to the reports of the main and additional conference programs.
A total of several dozen achievements are planned, which can be “earned” at the conference. Details of the participants will be recognized upon arrival at the venue. We will award the best participants of the competition with prizes.
See you!
On behalf of the conference organizers, I want to thank all those who showed such great interest in our conference. Thanks to you, we sold all the tickets
two months before the start of DevCon 2013. And now we continue to receive requests for tickets almost daily, which, alas, no longer exist.
