Anonymous site

This page is anonymous.

Nowadays, to post any material on the web, you will have to identify yourself in some way. This especially applies to social networks like Facebook, Google+, etc. But even posting an anonymous blog in WordPress.com or Tumblr is not a trivial task. There are other possibilities, like Tor. But he has a big drawback - most people do not have access to it.

Among all the services and providers who want to place a page know at least your email, and often the credit card number, there is one that promises to host everyone anonymously. This service is Super Dimension Fortress . The SDF allows you to register a user via ssh (and this can also be done via the Tor network), and accepts cash by mail to confirm the user. I did just that - I created a voidnull user page via ssh via Tor, and sent the SDF by mail $ 1 without a return address. I also appeal to my record via Tor, so it’s almost very difficult to link me to my account.
')
We get an account.

First you need to install and configure access to the Tor network .

After that, access to the account can be obtained as follows:

$ ssh -o ProxyCommand="nc -X 4 -x localhost:9050 %h %p" sdf.org

You can make an alias for a command in .bashrc

 alias torssh='ssh -o ProxyCommand="nc -X 4 -x localhost:9050 %h %p"'

Information about registering an account in the SDF can be found here and there . First you need to contact new@sdf.org via torssh. Answer a few questions, and after that you will have an account that is very hard to connect with you personally. Only to enable the account you need to send $ 1 by mail to the SDF.

SDF

The service has existed since 1987, started as a BBS, and now has come to a free service that provides the UNIX shell for the hacker community. Detailed history here .

Is it generally legal?

Yeah. Information on this site is public, there is no malicious content. Spreading information on the Internet without revealing your identity is your right, and the SDF just gives you a tool for that. It seems that there are no restrictions on using Tor to access your account, so it’s quite legal to have an anonymous account.

Competition

If you think you can calculate me, send me a card with the text “I see you voidnull” and an envelope with your address. I will send a $ 10 prize to the first one who revealed me.

Notes

- Anonymity can be achieved by other methods, for example wordpress.com accepts BitCoin for payment.
- I do not have a relationship with voidnull.com, and did not know about its existence when I registered an account on SDF
- Running a heap of Tor points to intercept my account access will not bring results, since I use the https protocol.
- I did not lick the envelope, and if the SDF does not store all the envelopes in stock, it is already impossible to calculate me through it.

Translator's notes.

For the first time I hear about the SDF service, I did not check it myself, and I do not advertise it. Moreover, it is not so convenient for us to send dollar bills in the US by mail. Rather, with this translation I want to open a discussion on the topic of achieving anonymity on the network, the legitimacy of these attempts and the presence of some meaning in them.

By the way, for our realities, I see a simpler way to anonymize:
- buy on the market a used phone and sim card with hands
- buy a qiwi virtual credit card, pay it through the terminal in cash, send data to the purchased SIM card
- pay with this credit card any VPN-service that does not keep logs
- using this service, register anywhere
- profit! or a visit from the competent authorities, I do not know.

So do you need anonymity online? Do I need it at all? Maybe it is the opposite, to tighten the conditions of being in the network, enter the registration? Will this measure help catch the bad guys? Or will it only make life difficult for ordinary, honest people, the majority of whom?
