REG.RU presents “flexible” hosting from Jelastic to Russian users
In March of this year, REG.RU and Jelastic announced a strategic partnership. In the near future, users will be able to connect popular software solutions based on the Jelastic PaaS cloud hosting platform on the REG.RU website.
To minimize the number of possible bugs, it was decided to launch an open beta test of Jelastic cloud hosting. Testing participants will be available to many software solutions, including Joomla, Wordpress, Magnolia and others.
What is Jelastic?

Jelastic is a new generation of hosting platforms for Java and PHP, providing the ability to run and scale Java / PHP applications without changing the code.
Connection and setup of environments are fully automated. There are no restrictions or special requirements for applications that protects the user from unexpected expenses.
What advantages does Jelastic PaaS have?
• Horizontal scaling allows you to set the maximum resource consumption limit for your application with a few mouse clicks.
• Vertical scaling: if the application needs more RAM / processor power, the necessary addition is automatically added. As soon as such a need disappears, the RAM / processor power is automatically reduced.
• Jelastic supports Tomcat, TomEE, GlasshFish, Jetty Apache and NGINX application servers as servers of their applications, memcached, as well as SQL databases (MariaDB, PostgreSQL, MySQL) or NoSQL (MongoDB, CouchDB), which can be used via remote access.
• Jelastic VDS allows you to add a non-Java or PHP server to your environment, for example, if you need to add a mail server, a task scheduler or a backend component.
