Red Hat has appointed a new CEO

The largest Linux manufacturer, Red Hat , on Thursday passed under the direction of the new CEO, who came to replace the almost legendary Matthew Szulik. The new CEO was the former head of Delta Airlines, James Whitehurst (James Whitehurst).

The reason why one of the most prominent figures and ideologists of the open source software industry has left his post is called “serious health problems” by members of the Sulik family. However, Matthew will retain the position of chairman of the company’s board of directors. On the site you can read his post about leaving.

Whitehurst should lead Red Hat to billions in revenue by continuing and strengthening the company's successful strategy. The choice fell on him after a lengthy search, and shareholders have high hopes for this person.
