As promised by representatives of the team involved in the creation of Google Glass, many dozens and hundreds of developers began to receive these devices for review. Of course, some enthusiasts decided to find out not only
what these glasses are made of and what their structure is , but what software underlies it.
It turned out that the glasses are subject to unlock, as well as Nexus-devices of different types (in any case, this statement concerns the Google Glass Explorer Edition). All you need to do is enable ADB debugging, reboot into the bootloader, and run the command “fastboot oem unlock”, which is usually used to unlock the Nexus bootloader phones and dashboards.

As for software and hardware, Google Glass is based on the TI OMAP 4430 ARM Cortex-A9 processor, with 682 MB of free RAM. Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich is used as software.
Of course, if the user devices are the same, then we can expect the appearance of custom firmware glasses and other modifications that may well affect both the software and the hardware of the device (and the video changes will be made by the users themselves).
