IE 8 passes the Acid2 test, the others do not. WTF?
The recent message that Internet Explorer 8 successfully passed the Acid2 test made me think that the requirements of the developers of alternatives were heard in MS. Meanwhile, many users report that at the moment those browsers that previously cope with this task do not pass the test: Opera, Safari, Firefox. At the same time, information appeared that the Acid2 test page is currently “broken”. Hence interesting questions: is the test really broken, are browsers really not passing it, how did IE 8 pass the test, if the test is broken, and in general - is there any connection between the test failure and successful completion of the test by IE 8 browser?
