Every fifth IBM employee now lives in India

IBM has announced that the number of personnel in the Indian division has grown to 73,000 people, that is, 40% per year, reports AP . At this rate in two years the number of Indians in the company will exceed the number of Americans (it is approximately 125,000 people and does not grow). This news is an excellent illustration of how popular outsourcing has become among American companies. Although IBM is among the activists here, they are most actively transferring the state abroad, but about the same pattern is observed in other IT companies. They open branches not only in Asia and Eastern Europe, but they are already looking at Africa .

The meaning of this is clear: in distant countries wages are much lower than in the USA. In addition, IBM has a special plan to conquer the rapidly developing countries of the BRIC zone (Brazil, Russia, India, China).
