Playing Pong on the wall of a 29-story building (video)
On Friday evening, residents of Philadelphia could admire an unusual sight: playing Pong on the wall of a 29-story building. The building is covered with a network of LEDs, which allowed to create the corresponding system. The author of the system is Frank Lee, a professor at Drexel University. The system created by this specialist, allowed to control the gameplay with a regular laptop connected to the control system.
Frank Lee, in his own words, decided to create such a system after he saw something similar, with Tetris as a toy. The total number of LEDs on the building - one and a half thousand. The work of the specialist was facilitated by the availability of management software, for which the professor created the Pong port. ')
The first pancake, as expected, came out a lump, because of a problem with the network. But after a few moments, everything was fine, and the game was enjoyed not only by the developers, but also by the audience, of whom there were quite a lot. By the way, the show itself will be repeated on April 24th, so if there are residents of Philadelphia on Habré, or you can visit this city on April 24, you should take a few minutes to watch the game.
