.ORG - trusted domain

Recently, a survey was conducted, the purpose of which was to find out which sources on the Internet are the most trusted users. For example, where to find the most reliable information or where it is better to pay a charitable contribution?


The overwhelming majority (82%) of respondents consider websites as the most reliable source. This is followed by social networks and similar resources: Facebook, YouTube and LinkedIn.

Of all the domain zones, users trust the .ORG domain the most. This domain was originally created as a zone for sites of non-profit organizations, later it became publicly available. Domain zone administrator - PIR Registry.

49% of survey participants would prefer to choose a .ORG domain to post information on issues of interest to them.

Of the four sites with similar content in .COM, .NET, .ORG, .INFO zones, 39% of respondents would consider the most reliable site in the .ORG zone. 23% more trust the .COM zone and 25% consider it unimportant to which zone the site is located.

Also, 33% of respondents would prefer to search for information of interest on the website in the .ORG zone, 31% in the .COM zone, and 17% in the .INFO zone.
