Foundation 4

A month ago, the fourth version of the Foundation framework from Zurb, worthy of an alternative to Twitter Bootsrap, was released .
This version focuses on mobile devices. The company believes that designers should focus in their work primarily on mobile devices, and then on dekstopy.

The company also decided to move away from the beloved jQuery library to the side of the more lightweight Zepto.js. All this is again connected with the orientation on mobile devices. But the new library remains compatible with jQuery and the developer is free to independently choose what to use in his project. All js plugins were rewritten to reduce their volume and increase the speed of work.

To simplify working with the framework, a more semantic approach was chosen. This allows you to write cleaner code in html, as well as use SCSS ("dialect" of the SASS language).

But there is one negative point. There is no backward compatibility, so when upgrading to a new version, keep this in mind.
