Apple's appeal to employees is diminishing

Apple has always had a reputation for holding employees — they have worked for it for decades, despite the lack of career growth, lower wages and the lack of bonuses. Recently, however, everything began to change, writes Business Insider.

One venture capitalist says: "Among Apple executives and employees, the level of discontent is starting to grow, more and more people are exploring the possibility of leaving."

The second observes a significant increase in the number of resumes coming to him from Apple employees. After interviewing these people looking for work on the side, he notes that there are two reasons for leaving the company: start-ups pay more and "Apple culture has begun to change with the advent of the new leadership."

A month ago, Apple analyst John Gruber noted that retaining people was "the only big problem that Apple faced and nobody talks about."

“I think that if there are problems with the emergence of new large products, they will be connected precisely with the departure of bright engineers and designers from the middle levels.”

Apple’s outflow of personnel has not accelerated over the past month, he says. But not slowed down.

Gruber writes: "All those with whom I spoke are inclined to believe that this is not the escape of rats from a sinking ship, but the inevitable outflow of talented people who capitalize on the company's success."

“Just Apple employees are in great demand. That is why retention is so difficult for a company. ”
