Firefox VoIP Extension - SIP Phone in Browser

The Italian company Abbeynet presented another interesting development - an extension for the Mozilla Firefox browser, which allows using the browser as a full-fledged SIP client. After installing the extension, a small panel will appear in the browser, using which you can make VoIP calls all over the world, at the rates of any SIP operator.

To configure the Firefox VoIP Extension, you only need to specify the SIP server, username and password. To facilitate the configuration of the plugin, by default it already has data for five well-known SIP operators: Gizmo Project, Free World Dialup, two Betamax services — VoipCheap and VoipStunt, as well as Abbeyphon’s VoIP service provided by Abbeynet. This list you can always edit or add to it a new operator.

The use of Firefox VoIP Extension will prevent the installation of additional SIP clients and increase the capabilities of Firefox.

An interesting feature of this extension is the ability to highlight phone numbers on a web page with the ability to make a call with a “one-click” number.
Declared video call support.
The extension is available for Firefox or Flock browsers running on Windows, Linux and Mac OS X.
