The company UDOO launched a campaign on Kickstarter.com. Killer Raspberry Pi

The company UDOO launched a campaign on Kickstarter.com to raise funds for the same-name processor board. With a size similar to the Raspberry Pi, the board is bundled with two processors: a quad-core Freescale i.MX6 1GHz CPU based on the ARM Cortex A9 and Atmel ARM SAM3X. This feature makes the UDOO a hybrid of Raspberry Pi and Arduino, allowing on the one hand to perform full OS based on Linux and Android, and on the other hand to ensure compatibility at the level of applications, analog and digital input / output ports with the Arduino DUE board, which allows automation systems and management, designed to work with Arduino.

The board is equipped with 1GB of RAM, a Gigabit Ethernet port, HDMI, Wi-Fi, Mini USB, Mini USB OTG, 2 USB 2.0, SATA, Micro SD ports. The version with a dual-core Freescale CPU can be ordered for $ 99, a four-core CPU and a SATA controller for $ 119. The start of deliveries is expected in September. Retail prices will be $ 10 more than pre-order prices. For eight days, more than $ 150k was raised from the required $ 27k.
