The “Virtual Cinema Hall” service, available to
Stream TV subscribers, is being transferred from today to “video on demand” technology, reports
“MTU-Intel” . That is, an interactive service will be provided, referring to which you can not only watch movies at a convenient time, but also use the rewind and pause functions.
The cost of watching movies, and there are about 25 of them - domestic and western - in the media library of the service, will remain the same - $ 1.95. Access to them for the money opens for one day. Payment will be removed from the personal account of the subscriber "Stream". Within five days after the launch of the project, access to the films will be open for free.
“As the experience of foreign operators shows, VoD (video-on-demand -“ video on demand ”) is an excellent base for the development of additional IPTV services and ARPU growth,” said MTU-Intel General Director Grigory Novitsky. “Following the global trend, we also regard“ video on demand ”as the foundation for the provision of additional television services of a new type, based on interactivity and targeted content delivery, depending on the user's interests.”
