Good day!
In 2013, Cisco changes the certification structure for its products. On September 30, the ICND1 and ICND2 examinations will end, i.e. 640-822 and 640-816, and with them the total CCNA. Thus, the ranking of certification statuses will change. Now CCNA will turn into CCNA Switching & Routing, and the most initial and obligatory one will be CCENT, i.e. new ICND1.

So earlier, in order to get CCNA Security it was necessary to have a valid CCNA, but now CCENT (100-101) or
Interconnecting Cisco Networking Devices Part 1 (ICND1) v2.0 is enough
. Knowledge requirements have changed, the new ICND1 has expanded significantly.

The cost of exams remained the same.
