Habr, I present you the project of the adaptation of the computer game "Half-Life 2".

It is worth noting that this whole undertaking is exclusively non-commercial in nature and is done only because of the great love for the material.

What is it? This is an amateur fan film, the action of which unfolds completely in the Half-Life 2 universe and, more or less, follows the same scenario. The whole action will be divided into days (read, series). Accordingly, the first day is the arrival of Freeman in City 17, the meeting with Barney, the escape from the combines and ends with an acquaintance with the metrokopovskim discharger in the attic of a house. Well, you remember, then Alex ... etc.

Creation materials:

Who does this? Two people. Roman Samtsov and Andrei Mankevich. Both are a little over 30. We are geographically located in Kaluga. We do in my free time on two household (not the most, believe, powerful) computers. We work together on a regional television station, both are editors. The experience of communicating with 3D packages, compositing programs and other CGIs is at the level of self-taught.

What for? We saw a lot of fan movies, not only in the Half-Life universe, and, yes, we also watched Escape From City 17 , and we still think that we can do no worse. No not like this. We love this game very much and we know that we can do better. And after that, do we need other reasons?
