It so happened that a watch that was a copy of Newton Nixon watches fell into my hands.

')
They differed from the original ones by the lack of illumination and the color of what was supposed to be a button.
In the original version it is white, and in the copy it is black, probably so as not to catch the eye.
Yes, I also lost the piping button somewhere. Actually, this made me climb into the clock and add functionality.
You can also mention the quality of the casting strap - the holes are not cut.

We remove the pip, we see a hole under our gaze, there is also a hole in the pipka itself. Tolley authors somewhere hijacked the original mold, and maybe they also produce copies with some kind of functionality.

We begin to disassemble. The cover is fastened with four screws.

Below it, we see the watch mechanism, a plastic cap, four screws holding the case in the strap and the casting flaws in the watch strap.

Again, unscrew the screws. We remove all unnecessary.

Here is the dial itself.

Only one building remained, with some changes to be made.

Remove the "glass". On the way there is a protective film. "Glass" is simply glued on the edge.

It's time to choose the LEDs for the backlight. I took not the smallest. Thickness of the case was enough.

Micro LEDs were taken to the LEDs.

The hole was done by the manufacturers, so we will have less work.

Fill LEDs in future places

There was a question how to connect all this. Various conductors have been tried. In the photo wire from the headphones. The first time he worked with such small LEDs.

It's time to make the seats. For these purposes, the file was used.

In the end, the wires from the IDE loop were taken.

We look, how it all looks in a place.

Put the clock mechanism in place, check. The light is not as soft as the original.

See how you can place the battery. Perhaps in the original, it is somehow located in a plastic plug, but the battery did not fit into this plug, I had to play it. Traces of vandalism did not appear in the photograph.

Putting it all together. Glows, works. But there is one "but." All this now works without a button.

Preparing the operating room and the patient for implantation buttons.

The button was just put on the hot melt glue. With pipka connected nail trimming of suitable diameter. Wildly, but it works.

You can continue to approach the copy to the original.
At least replace the pip with a white one. You can also make the backlight as in the original. There is no need to hold the button. I pressed it - the backlight turned on for a few seconds and turned off. If there is a simple scheme for solving this moment - in the comments.
