Today on Habré was
published the news that the Swedish domain The Pirate Bay, on which the tracker now works, is going to block. So that the work of the torrent tracker was not interrupted, his team decided to register the Greenlandic domains, thepiratebay.gl and piratebay.gl. But just a few hours after the "moving" of the resource, the registrar blocked these domains.
Greenland domains are managed by the Tele-Post registrar. Greenland itself is an autonomous territory of Denmark. And back in 2009, The Pirate Bay was recognized as a prohibited resource in Denmark, as the service distributes illegal copies of films / games / software. The ruling of the Danish court acts, of course, and now, and most likely, the .gl domain registrar has decided to execute the court ruling, preventing the appearance of an undesirable resource on the respective domains.

Currently, the tracker continues to work on the Swedish domain, but how long the domain will remain unblocked is still unknown. On the other hand, the administration of the resource claims that they still have free domains to host The Pirate Bay, and there are still a lot of such domains. It is currently not known which domain in which zone will be used next.
But, I think, The Pirate Bay will work for a long time.
