Not so long ago on Habré they mentioned the possible appearance of a cross-platform messenger from Google, which had already received the name (perhaps it will still be changed) by Google Bable. This messenger, as you can understand, will integrate almost all of the Google communication services that are currently running. This is Google Talk, Google Voice, chat, and Google+ Hangouts. In addition, as one would expect, the service will work on different hardware platforms, be it a smartphone, laptop or tablet.
Now in the development of Google Babel, representatives of the teams Google+, Android, Chrome and Apps are taking part. Thanks to the efforts of the joint team of specialists, this messenger will appear on Android, iOS, applications for Chrome and Gmail. As for iOS, for Google this is the first experience of introducing its messenger (allegedly first-class) for another mobile OS.

Among other things, the developers have created a unified alert system for different platforms. That is, if you received a message in Babel, and you have this service open immediately on your phone, laptop and tablet, then as soon as you read the message, the notification of the receipt of such will disappear from other devices. And this is really quite a useful feature, which is completely absent in some other messengers.

The messenger allows you to send photos, insert pictures and photos into your messages, hold group chats, record history (you can then view it from any device), use about 800 emoticons.
