WikiLeaks presented a search engine for more than 2 million documents.

WikiLeaks presented its project "Public Library of US Diplomacy (PlusD)" - a search engine for more than 2 million secret or previously secret US documents. As stated on the official website, "this is the largest amount of geopolitical material that has ever been published."

Currently, the PlusD collection consists of two main “packages”:

Cablegate

A collection of more than 250,000 diplomatic telegrams (so-called " cables "), published on WikiLeaks from November 2010 to the present day. These documents describe in detail the US foreign policy over the past decade. Despite the fact that most of them were officially declassified after the leak, more than 15,000 of them still have the “Secret” stamp.

It contains more than 1.7 million diplomatic records from the days of Secretary of State Henry Kissinger, one of the most controversial periods of the Cold War. These records were reviewed by the US State Department due to the expiration of the 25-year term of their secrecy. According to the results of the analysis, the commission made a decision on declassifying or partially declassifying each of the documents. The records were then additionally reviewed by the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA). And only after that the documents in the form of separate PDF files were placed in the National Archives of the United States. Despite the fact that the data should formally be declassified after 25 years, there is still no publicly available document later than 1976. Due to the complicated review procedure, this process is delayed by 12 years.

The team had to do a truly titanic work in order for PlusD to be realized. Many entries have an intricate structure, which, moreover, may differ from document to document, which makes it difficult to create a unified mechanism for adding documents to a search engine.
