Evernote Text Notes Dumper

Evernote's note taking service is good for everyone, but somehow it turned out that I decided not to use it anymore. Partly because the mobile client starts slowly on my Samsung Galaxy Ace, partly because I realize that I don’t need most of its functions — I mostly do text recordings. To some extent, the recent history of compromised passwords has played a role. As a replacement, I decided to use text files in Dropbox.

But what to do with the already written notes? In the native client I did not find the possibility to save them in plain text while maintaining the structure of the notebooks. Fortunately, I came across a post about Geeknote , a console client for Evernote.

For my purpose - the perfect solution. On closer examination, a minor defect emerged: the find function does not produce more than 50 results, it was necessary to fix it. Well, automate the export process at the same time.

If someone is interested in the experience of migration, welcome to fork geeknote with corrected find and exporter

To export, just call the program geeknotedump.py .
