Plain English or how to present information

I think many have noted (who faced with the peculiarities of business abroad) that Russian people can hardly present information simply, clearly, and intelligibly. Whether it’s a commercial or offer for a partner / client, a letter to the boss with an interesting idea, a product description, etc.

We often get into abstractionism and “epicism” (you need to write more and use words and more ... in general, abstract :).

It is difficult for us to express simple things with “simple” Russian words, maybe because simple Russian words are move (bad form).

If I'm wrong, correct me. But! I often come across the idea that it is easier for me to write in English than in Russian and easier to explain in English, especially when it comes to IT.

I met on the network video semi-advertising / half-training / half-presentation. And I really liked how the information was presented in “plain English words” (plain English) using visual images.

This video is worth watching if you ever come across one of the following tasks:

1. how to visually explain to the client / user the advantages of your invention / software product / service. I liked the video exactly from this position (!), Since in most cases we already know what RSS is;

2. how and in what form to create a tutorial, a splint about a new product;

3. how and in what form to advertise a software product;

… and

1. you do not know what RSS is, or have never used it;

2. know English.

The company World Web Studio has translated the video into Russian, but, honestly, all the charm is lost.

If you have already seen this video 300 times, do not swear :) The point is not in the video, but in the problem of presenting important information and bringing your message to the target audience so that the target audience understands your message and responds. I ate :)
