The number of second-level domains in the RU zone has reached 600 thousand, according to Ru-Center . Analysts accredited registrar say that the growth in the number of domains "stabilized" at around 4% per month. In the autumn months, a seasonal increase in registrations is expected.

“If the current growth rate is maintained by the end of this year, there will be about 700 thousand second-level domains in the RU domain, and the milestone will be 1 million at the end of next year,” predicts Ru-Center .

Nevertheless, in spite of significant growth rates, the Russian RU domain in absolute figures still lags behind many other national domains.
