In a recent patent application, Nokia disclosed in detail its vision of “compact devices with swiveling and retractable elements,” the design of which is very similar to Danger Hiptop phones (in the US T-Mobile Sidekick).
To move the display and access the QWERTY-keyboard, the user must rotate the knob located on the side, which will move the display up and back, thus opening access to the keyboard keys.

A rather interesting decision, which differs from standards, but it is too early to judge its advantages or disadvantages. It is worth waiting for the release of future models from Nokia.
