The Pirate Bay has become the most popular file sharing service.

Despite the fact that the creators of The Pirate Bay torrent tracker were brought to justice, and this trial (and subsequent, appeal) was lost by them, the service itself is very much alive. Moreover, The Pirate Bay is now the # 1 file sharing resource in the world. Not so long ago, the popularity of The Pirate Bay exceeded the popularity of file sharing services such as 4Shared and Mediafire.

In addition to The Pirate Bay itself, some other torrent trackers now receive more visitors. Most likely, this is due to the fact that many file sharing services were closed (remember Megaupload), or closed themselves. As a result, users began to move to other services, including torrent trackers.

Previously, The Pirate Bay ranked sixth in the list of the most popular file sharing resources. Now half of the top list is BitTorrent services. Earlier, there were only two torrent trackers on the list, including Bay.
