A small introduction for those who do not know: BitTorrent's SyncApp is a system for synchronizing data between different computers. Unlike DropBox and other analogues, it does not have a server part, which allows you to fully control the privacy of your data. BitTorrent is used for data transfer.
When I heard about this system, I registered with them on the site (I think, like many others) to receive news. And today I received a letter with a notice that the early alpha version will be available for public testing by the end of April. Those lucky ones who have registered will receive private download links a couple of weeks earlier, by mid-April.
Translation of the text of the letter under the cut.
Hello,
')
You requested an invitation to take part in closed testing of SyncApp, a powerful tool for automatic synchronization between multiple computers based on secure and distributed BitTorrent technology.
Thank you for such an early interest and support. We have made some progress, and among the first we inform you that the open alpha version of SyncApp will be available for download to everyone by the end of April.
For everyone who is in our “waiting list”, we inform you: look in your mailbox. By mid-April, we will send you links to download the alpha version from a private server, even before it is publicly available.
Thank you again for your interest and help in creating SyncApp. We will use this mailing list for future news and progress reports.
Respectfully,
SyncApp Team
