2GIS continues international (and intercontinental) development
As is known, more than 200 cities are represented in 2GIS. Most of them, of course, are located in Russia, a few more - in Ukraine and Kazakhstan. And last year we swung to foreign countries and issued a handbook with a map of Venice and Padua, which are located in Italy.
Inspired by the success of the projects that have taken place, we decided to close the need of users for data that no one has provided to us before. The venture seemed overly ambitious and impracticable, but thanks to the efforts and well-coordinated work of our employees, everything worked out!
Meet - 2GIS Antarctica !

We have not changed our traditional methods of information gathering, providing accuracy, tending to one hundred percent. After drawing the map using satellite images, all the information was personally verified by local experts. For example, our employees (who survived the encounter with penguins) are located at the South Pole.
Of course, the matter was not limited to one map: now 2GIS is the most complete reference book of organizations and transport of Antarctica. For all organizations, their description and contact information is available. A recently launched 2GIS Online search for public transport will help you get from one corner of Antarctica to another.
We hope that the titanic work of our employees will not be wasted and will be useful to the entire audience of our directory. Perhaps if the project succeeds, we will even pay for their transportation back to Russia. Come and appreciate our efforts to create a detailed directory of Antarctica .
