Xubuntu for ASUS eeePC

The guys from eeeuser.com rebuilt xubuntu 7.10 and now it runs on their favorite ASUS eeePC. One of the main tasks faced by hackers was to create an installation image that could install in the absence of an optical drive on the machine (now the distribution is easily installed from a USB flash-drive). The developers hope that their efforts will not be in vain and, in the future, all the code will be included in the main development tree on ubuntu.com. The development team also did work on integrating the necessary eeePC drivers and adapting the GUI to its small screen. The resulting distribution is called (surprise!) EeeXubuntu .
