The
Google Docs and Spreadsheets office software suite that has not yet been out of beta has already occupied the first place on the Internet in terms of attendance, an order of magnitude ahead of all its competitors.
Recently, the number of users has increased dramatically: in October 2007, already more than 1.4 million people, according to
statistics from Compete.com . This is seven times more than the year before in the same month when Google Docs was first born. Attendance at Google Docs is
an order of magnitude higher than that of the closest competitor
Office Live .
Currently, Google’s office suite consists of a text editor (released September 2006), spreadsheets (June 2006), and a presentation viewer (September 2007). According to analyst Compete.com, the success of Google Docs is quite logical against the backdrop of the failed release of MS Office 2007, the redesigned interface of which introduces some users to a stupor.
