Desktop vs Cloud
Given : "clean" Linux machine.
The task : to create a simple Spring application from a template and deploy it to Cloud Foundry.
Solution : On video. Left side: desktop approach (Maven, Tomcat, JVM, Eclipse ...). Right side: cloud, specifically, Codenvy .
It is better to expand the video to full screen and watch in HD quality.
Anticipating criticism, I will immediately say the following. This is not an attempt to blacken the desktop IDE. Exceptional research approach. The result at 1 o'clock is approximate and rounded off by one o'clock (the developer dealing with spring and Cloud Foundry will obviously cope faster). You can cope in 25 minutes. And with a lot of desire and fast hands - and at all for 15 (it will be a record, by the way). Nevertheless, in this aspect (“jump aboard”) the advantages of the cloud are obvious.
