IPhone has more vulnerabilities than Android, BlackBerry and Windows Phone combined
When it comes to mobile security, we most often discuss Android with its viruses and trojans, living mostly outside the Google Play Store. However, the new SourceFire study easily showed that the iPhone has more security problems than Android, BlackBerry, and Windows Phone combined.
SourceFire analysts have analyzed vulnerabilities that have been written to Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVE) and the National Vulnerability Database (NVD) for 25 years. Yves Yunan, the company's lead researcher at the Vulnerabilities Research Team and author of the report, said the results regarding mobile platforms were “amazing.”

Despite the fact that Apple constantly releases patches and fixes, it introduces new measures to protect its OS - the base of vulnerabilities continues to grow from year to year.
According to the study, the iPhone has 210 210 vulnerabilities during the observation period (cumulative index), which accounts for 81% of all the vulnerabilities of the four mobile platforms studied. Android 24 has vulnerabilities, Windows (here all mobile Windows are meant) - 14, 11 for BlackBerry. The study does not take into account Symbian, bada and other platforms.
Yunan explains this “advantage” by the fact that hackers cannot break through the App Store and are therefore forced to look for vulnerabilities in the iPhone itself.
