CamBoard Pico - the next generation of gesture control interface

The German company Pmdtec has recently introduced a new type of sign-based computer control interface. At the same time, not only software, but also hardware was developed. We can say that this system is almost ready for use. It may well be that in the near future, such systems will be equipped with new models of laptops / ultrabooks / desktop assemblies.

Of course, what is shown in the video is more advertising than the actual testing of the device in the "field" conditions. But what we see is impressive. The system allows gestures to switch between applications, manage the applications themselves and perform other tasks.

It seems that to turn the system into operation mode, you do not need to jump around the laptop, clap your hands to do something special. Simply lift your finger (one or more) during printing without changing the distance from the hand to the display. This is a much more convenient system than those where you need to take a special position, or worse, get up to get the possibility of gesture control.

The second video is also quite interesting, here the capabilities of the CamBoard Pico gesture control system are once again demonstrated. Now the company is actively working on the conclusion of agreements with manufacturers of laptops and ultrabooks.
