Google last month, according to statistics from Hitwise, processed more than 65% of all search queries made by residents of the United States.
According to InformationWeek, citing a research by Hitwise, over the year, Google’s share in the US search market grew by 3.3% and reached 65.1%. Google's closest competitor, Yahoo, held about 21.2% of the US Internet search market in November, and Microsoft, about 7.1%. Unlike Google, the search engine of which attracts more and more users, the market shares of Yahoo and Microsoft, by contrast, declined by 1.2% and 2.7%, respectively.
According to Hitwise, Ask.com is at the fourth position in the list of the largest search engines. Last month, Ask.com processed 4.6% of all searches made by Americans. This is 0.4% higher than the figure for the same period of 2006. The remaining 46 search engines, which are monitored by Hitwise, last month processed a total of about 2% of requests.

According to statistics Hitwise, most often residents of the United States enter in the search engines inquiries related to health and medicine. Such requests account for almost 45% of the total. In second place in popularity with an indicator of 17% are inquiries on the topic of business and finance.
