Google Cloud Connect closing letter
Dear Google Apps administrator,

')

Microsoft Office files from Windows PC's to Google Drive.

Why? Because the Google Drive handles this task much more effectively — and has a lot of other advantages. With Google Drive installed on your computer:

• It’s not always a problem.

• Unlike the old Windows-only plug-in, Drive works on Windows, Mac, Android and iOS devices.

To keep our focus on Google Drive, we’re discontinuing Cloud Connect, April 30th, 2013.

It is important to help you migrate to Drive. Here's what to do:

• Next, ask (1) log out of Cloud Connect, (2) remove Cloud Connect and (3) install the Drive folder. If you like.

Users added added added

Note: Google Drive handles multi-person editing of Microsoft Office files differently. There has been a lot of effort. Duplicates are saved to your desktops. (See details here .)

And that's it. Questions? Check out the admin guide for launching GoogleDrive . Contact us to support this question (check the support tab ). Thanks!

Sincerely

The Google Apps Team
