The other day I was offered to conduct computer lessons with sixth graders in one of the schools. Specific topics are not called, although it seems that the parents were saying something about programming. In general, my task is to offer something.

Before that, I taught programming in grades 9-11 for two years, but in my opinion in 6th grade it would be a bit early.

Computer science has one difficulty that other subjects do not have - a very large variation in the level of computer knowledge of children of the same age. Therefore, before drawing up any program, it is necessary to determine who and what knows. For this purpose, I am offered to write a questionnaire from a dozen questions and let it fill the students.

3. Why do you most often use a computer? What programs do you use?
4. Can you draw and write texts on a computer?
5. Can you work with the Internet (view websites, read mail)?
