Interactive City Maps
When traveling, not only paper, but also an interactive map can often come in handy.
Many people know about Google Maps, but it does not always work. The following resources from my collection will come to the aid of the traveler:
moscowmap.ru
Here is a map of Moscow and the Moscow region
- search by address and name
- the ability to highlight a specific fragment of the map
- it is possible to enlarge the map to display the nearest metro station
There is also a map of traffic jams in Moscow, a map of the metro with the ability to click on the station to go to an interactive map with the corresponding station and surroundings. There is also a static ecological map that shows the distribution of pollutants in the atmospheric air on the territory of Moscow (without interactivity).

a map similar to the previous one (see the map of Moscow), except for the additional option “calculate route”, which unfortunately does not work, and in addition to the traffic map, which is missing.

Map of the Czech Republic
There is no description on the map, so I will write here:
With the help of our map you can calculate the shortest way by car to anywhere in the Czech Republic. To do this, right-click on the part of the map you are interested in and select “Start of route” in the appeared menu and mark it on the map. Then designate the same method "End of the route."
Green flags on the route that appears will indicate the necessary turns and intersections. When you click on them with the left mouse button, you will see the necessary comments, as well as GPS coordinates. By clicking on the red (to the end of the route) and blue (to the beginning of the route) arrows that appear, you can move from the intersection to the intersection. When you click on the Loupe icon - you can select the “Show entire route” mode, by clicking on the “Blue arrows” icon - you can change the end and the beginning of the route between them, when you click on the “X” icon - you delete the route.
You can move the green flags on the map with the left mouse button. The route will be recalculated.
You can move the beginning and end of the route by clicking on the checkbox with the left mouse button and moving it to the desired location on the map.
You can also see at once the whole part of the map with the marked route - “The whole route”, change between the end and the beginning of the route - “Turn the route”, and also “Eliminate the route”. The selection menu will appear after right-clicking on any part of the map. (ATTENTION! This function, unfortunately, does not work for Opera. In Opera, you can use the same functions by clicking the green flags on your route with the left mouse button)
When you click on the final destination (red flag), you will see the total distance in kilometers and the approximate travel time.
ATTENTION: at a close approximation, an excessively large number of objects may appear in front of you. By pressing the X button in the upper right corner of the map you can get rid of them. When you press the button X again, all objects will return to their original position. This function does not affect your chosen route.
The X button appears only in cases when a section of the map in front of you is “overloaded” with objects. This feature is introduced to facilitate computer processing.

Maps of Kiev, Norilsk, Krasnoyarsk and Krasnoyarsk Krai, Kansk, Abakan and Minusinsk
The project is constantly evolving, as I noticed, so the list of cities may increase. Maps, though interactive, but they need to be installed on the computer. But like previous projects, this project is free - due to advertising, apparently.
There are the following functions:
- 3D map with the division of buildings by type and an indication of their number of floors;
- the current directory of enterprises and organizations;
- routes of urban transport;
- cable networks of the city;
- various types of object search;
- measurement of distances on the map;
- create custom notes and the ability to share them;
- free distribution;
- monthly update.
To update the map, the previous one is better to uninstall to correctly install the updated map.
