Google Glass glasses, which no one really saw before and didn’t study their features properly, have already received opponents in the face of the creators of the site with the promising name Stop The Cyborgs.
The site, raised on WordPress - the standard favicon has not yet had time to change - sets as its goal an initiative to publicly discuss the problems that the potentially very popular gadget from Google will bring next year. In this case, the position of the creators (it is not very clear who exactly is behind the project) can be described as balanced negative.
The essence of the main claims to futuristic glasses lies in the fact that from the moment of their wide distribution (and with a high probability this happens), the concept of privacy will disappear, because the multimedia and communication capabilities of Google Glass will finally erase the line between what people would like to save only yourself, and everyone who will be able to view a photo or video on the Internet, loaded there with points. At the same time, as noted, so far no legal methods affect how exactly the owner of the glasses will use them does not exist.
Those who find that these general arguments are too general, untenable, or a kind of retrograde, are invited to read the lengthy article by Edward Champion "
35 arguments against Google Glass " (eng.). If, however, briefly express its meaning, then it remains the same - with the privacy of people's personal lives will have to say goodbye.

So what can oppose a sinister future with Google Glass? Firstly, everyone is invited to buy stickers and T-shirts with the symbols of Stop The Cyborg at a price of $ 2.15 for a sticker and a t-shirt of $ 23.24, respectively. Products look like this:

Secondly, for those who prefer to deal with the system for free, you can download the sticker yourself (a high quality
picture is available), print it and hang it in an office or other crowded place, similar to “No smoking”:

Finally, it is proposed to start discussing the problem by creating initiative groups, disseminating information and involving the authorities at a very high level: for example, natives of the United States can find their senator in the House of Representatives and involve him in the search for a solution. For the sake of justice, it should be noted that Google Glass doesn’t negate the fact that the device can be useful for visually impaired people, providing them with more convenient movement, or for people with Alzheimer's disease, whose memory problems can solve glasses, however However, it is fraught with a number of completely new problems.
