The Sharkoon company has released an interesting device that will be useful if you need to connect additional SATA hard drives to the PC in the absence of free connectors. A novelty called SATA QuickPort is a USB 2.0 docking station with the ability to connect SATA hard drives with a form factor of 2.5 and 3.5 inches.
It looks a bit like a toaster, but this does not prevent it from performing often such demanded functions. We take a hard, gently insert it into the slot (with the blocking mechanism holding the drive securely in a fixed position) and everything: you can work. In order to get the hard drive, just click on the dedicated button. The SATA QuickPort docking station comes with an external power supply.
