Since the announcement of the closure of Google Reader, a number of articles about other services that can be accessed have already appeared on Habré.
In all this, I am confused by the fact that this is not VKontakte, not Twitter, but Habr, why am I only reading about third-party services here?
Who prevents to make your RSS Reader with preference and mademoiselles?

Under the cut a few of my thoughts about what you can do yourself for yourself. Your experience and comments are welcome.
Attention! The post is not about what and how to do, but rather, while posing the question - "let's decide what can be done so that it is good."
I, like all active users of Google Reader, was sadly upset by the morning news. But besides that, she pushed me to what I have long wanted to do - pick up on my VDS a similar Reader.
Advantages of this decision - I will not depend on business guys who, like Google, at some point decide that the service is unprofitable and it’s time to disperse.
Cons - have to strain the gyrus. (Well, it’s not for nothing
that we have gathered
here , I repeat, this is not Habra or VKontakte!)
So, a quick Google search brought me to 4 Open Source projects:
-
Selfoss . It supports mobile browsers, which can not but rejoice. Personally, I often read from the phone. On php.
-
rsslounge . Also supports mobile browsers. The site says they only tested on the iPad. On php.
-
Temboz , on python
-
Tiny Tiny RSS (the site has already laid down, I, apparently, not one so smart) On php.
')
I will try, probably, everything. If I deem it worthy and write about something, I will compile a report. While I urge you to tell who has already used what, what projects do you still know? Their pros / cons?
UPD:In the comments advised more:
-
NewsBlur , on python
- paid
fever for php
