I want to tell you about my Android application, which you may find useful and / or interesting for you.

How many times did you have to freeze at the bus stop waiting for the right bus? To wonder whether to wait for your bus or go with transfers? The application "Bus" is designed to help avoid such situations.








How it works:

1. At the first start, you must select your city and click "OK". As it is written in the warning text, it is better to do this with a stable Internet connection (WiFi is best).



2. The data will be loaded and saved to the database.



3. Everything, the application is ready to use. You just have to choose the desired station (find by name, from the list of favorites or from the list of the closest to your location) and in front of you the forecast of the arrival of minibuses.





The application uses the data of the wonderful service doroga.tv (it is worth noting that I have nothing to do with it ).
Currently available data in the following cities:

• Nizhny Novgorod
• Kazan
• Kaliningrad
• Tambov
• Penza

A meticulous reader may notice that there is an official app “DorogaTv Transport”. For the sake of justice, I will provide a link and a QR code:



But, in my opinion, it has several disadvantages:

• I do not like purely subjective =)
• The application has not been updated for a very long time, and apparently it is not a priority for the service.

I plan to gradually increase the functionality and add a number of tasty buns, such as:

• Displays the nearest stations using the so-called. "Augmented Reality". I already have some experience in this direction.
• Laying routes.
• Search for nearby stations by address.
• Perhaps I will add a number of other cities for which there is the necessary data in the public domain (St. Petersburg, Samara, Ryazan, Ulyanovsk. Perhaps you know some more? Please share in the comments).
