Frontender Magazine is such a special front-end magazine that will regularly, on Tuesdays and Fridays, publish translations of interesting English-language articles or exclusive articles by Russian-speaking authors.
Why is it needed?
There are no magazines devoted to frontends in Russian that regularly publish something
Despite the fact that in the field of knowledge of the English language is necessary, not everyone knows it at the proper level
Many are more comfortable reading articles in their native language
Why is it better than the existing ones?
Regular updates 2 times a week
A design that does not interfere with reading and thanks to its adaptability makes it comfortable to read the magazine on mobile devices
The complete absence of advertising or any other monetization at the expense of the user.
Translations are done by many people, including the editor and proofreader, which allows for a good level of translations.
Everything is in the open github code and I hope that through crowdsourcing we can improve the quality of articles, and possibly increase their number.
The pile contains articles. It is needed so that the user could find an interesting article in English to read it, or add an English-language article that he considers interesting to be translated. More users can vote for articles and translate will be those who scored the most votes. In order to vote for the articles you will have to log in with your github account. Later, there will be a binding of translations to articles in the heap and this will allow you to search for articles in Russian. So a lot is needed in order to find what you can read and monitor new publications of the magazine, keeping them relevant to themselves.
Plans
Add articles to tags
Sort by tags and likes
Give the ability to attach links to translations to articles so that you can find translations in many journals on a heap
To make it so that according to the block of the article in the heap one could understand at what stage the translation of the article
Work out the crowdsourcing process and get people involved
Attract authors to write exclusive articles.
Share not only the data, but also the code
Choose the best typography and design for the project
Add pages "about the project", "about the editorial board", "I want to be the author" and so on
Make this world better
I will be glad to any your wishes, comments and ideas.
