A look at the HTC One: benchmarks and camera test

On March 6th in Moscow, the Hall HTC introduced its new flagship One, which they themselves were not afraid to call the best smartphone in the world. The journalists were given to “touch” after the end of the presentation ... well, we touched it.

First, the device is made of a solid metal body, which is very well felt. The device is assembled very high quality and it is very thin. Thinner iPhone 5 and Galaxy S III.

Performance

Secondly, the HTC One is equipped with a Snapdragon 600 processor and it works incredibly fast, provided the Full HD display is installed here.

Sound

The HTC One has 2 speakers on the front side. They sound loud, but in my humble opinion is not qualitatively. (But no worse than that of competitors. Just strongly "raspiaareno", I think)

Camera

This is a separate story. HTC One only has a 4 megapixel camera, but we all know that 4 is quite a lot. Another thing is that the pixels are unusual. They are called “ultra pixels” because they are twice the size of the standard ones. As a result, the image is better. [ excellent article explaining why ]

Many in the comments on our YouTube channel wrote that the iPhone turned out better. But this is complete nonsense: with HTC One in the photo all the elements are visible and people are greatly mistaken when they evaluate the photo only by the depth of contrast. I think you will agree with me that in such a dark room, the HTC One handled the task much better than the iPhone.

In addition, the HTC One optics allows you to capture a lot more space than the iPhone 5. The "fault" of the HTC camera sensor.

My conclusion : the HTC One firmware is still raw, so it's too early to judge, but I can say for sure - the appearance is very cool and the camera is clearly better than the competition.
