The collaboration of Philips and O'Neill continues to bear fruit in the form of sports lines of audio accessories. I have already talked about very pleasant intra-local headphones (I still use them)
The Specked with a braided wire. This time we will talk about the elder brother - model SHO9565, or by the name of the ruler - The Stretch. The name of this was not chosen by chance - the headphones are positioned as a product for sports people, whose accessories must withstand heavy loads. Is it so?

By the way, the TR55LX is not a headphone model, but
a plastic
brand from which the headband is made.
Packing and packaging
Packaging is a serious box made of thick cardboard, in which, according to a good tradition, there would be enough space for 3 pairs of headphones if you try to shove.

The company label on one of the sides shows the properties of wire braid:

Inside, everything is as usual - a cradle of thin plastic, to which wires and the headphones themselves are attached with a flexible wire.
Wires
But with the wires already interesting. The wire of the headphones themselves is very short:

So short that you can hang on it some mini-player and it will hang on it in the neck area. Of course, the bundle includes a normal-length wire with a control panel, and a small adapter for devices that use a non-Apple-like control system.

There is nothing else in the kit - the adapter is neither 2.5 nor 6.35. Connect the long wire to the headphones:

And already to it, if necessary - a short adapter is connected. Apparently, this is done so that when the wire is pulled, it simply disconnects from the connector and does not burst out of the headphones. In addition, there was another plus - you can eliminate the twisting of the wire along its axis simply by rotating the plug around it - no need to get either the player or remove the headphones.
The wire itself is braided with a cloth, and noticeably thinner than a similar wire from The Specked.

I hope that this will give a serious plus to the strength of the wire. By the way, winter showed the full suitability of such a wire to frost - although it hardens a little, it does not crack and does not break.
The connector is in a rubber shell (to which fine dust and lint adhere remarkably sticky - it's very difficult to photograph)

The plug is in a metal case, similar to that of the younger brother:

On the wire in the neck area is a plastic microphone bead:

A little further - the control panel with one button and volume control:

On the remote is worth mentioning separately. The volume control on it is analog. Those. just a slider resistor, which is very cool - it will work perfectly on any player, even the simplest one. Of course, this solution also has its drawbacks - during the movement of the slider, small noises are heard in the headphones. Well, okay. The button is the most common, and its implementation depends on the device. In 90% of devices, it will answer the call — the headphones have a microphone and can be used as a headset for talking. Most modern phones and players are able to pause when a single button is pressed, and switch to the next track by double-pressing. For Android phones, long press includes voice search.

Headphones
Let's go back to the headphones. My model is made in a strict black and gold gamut:

I have a model SHO9565BK. Be careful, the SHO9560 does not have a remote control and no additional adapter, the SHO9567 only has a remote control for Apple devices (they also do not have an adapter).
The headband consists of two parts - rag, which is adjacent to the head, and nylon, which provides rigidity and flexibility at the same time design. True, it’s inconvenient to hold headphones on one ear in a DJ style, there is no third degree of freedom for headphones.

There are no size settings. They sat on my head normally - the lower part of the headband is supported on an elastic band, which allows for maneuver, there is approximately 5-6 cm of space. Cups are hinged. By the way, very comfortable - soft and providing good isolation from external noise.
In a very tricky place, the markings of the left and right ears (or uh?) Are hidden on the inside of the mount:

After detecting them, I was surprised to realize that I was wearing the headphones incorrectly - the left side is the one from which the cable comes out.
As it was clear from the name - the headphones are very durable and elastic:

I admit, I bent them at first with some fear, but then I got a taste:

Not broken.
Inside
Headphones are easy to understand, but not intuitive. It is not necessary to remove the lining, but simply bend the fabric covering the speaker grille:

4 screws on the perimeter, after which the headset splits into two halves:

The soldering is good, without snot, everything is neat. From interesting - two cleverly bent phase inverter tubes:

Sound

Is there sound. And even a good one, except that there is a little lack of high frequencies, and a little midrange soaps are not as precise details as we would like. Nevertheless, the sound is quite pleasant, without failures and distortions. The bass sounds very noticeable, and in combination with good sound insulation they create an excellent effect - boom boom boom is heard inside the head, but not so much that it is unpleasant. At least for me.
People complained about the low volume of previous models, but I did not notice it - at maximum volume they sound so that the sound is perfectly audible even when the headphones hang around your neck, and I can’t even think about listening at that volume when wearing.
